The closest would be close to the MGM Grand. There is a multiplex theater there.

   Ok so you walk down the strip to Flamingo rd Where you can catch the Cat #203 to the Plams in the Palms is the Brendon Theatre and a Imax

   We use the United Artists multiplex which, if you come out of your hotel and turn right onto the Strip, it’s just before you get to MGM. You can walk it, we’ve walked it a few times from Ballys and it takes about 10 minutes.

   We’ve also driven to the cinema at South Point Casino which is about a 10 minute drive once you get past Mandalay Bay.

   Our favorite theater is at the Orleans. No, it’s not on the strip, but you can walk over to Bill’s Gamblin Hall and take the free shuttle to the Orleans. The walk over to Bill’s(ex Barbary Coast) is short, it’s at least two miles from TI to MGM

   The Palms does have a nice theater as well and all of the hotels in that area(Gold Coast, Rio & Palms) have free shuttles from the strip.

   Palms shuttle – You can catch this one at the Fashion Show Mall, which is located next to Treasure Island or at Caesars Palace(Forum Shops) – Nice shuttle, but it runs infrequently.

   Rio shuttle – catch this one at Caesars Palace(Forum Shops), Harrah’s or Bally’s/Paris – about every 30min

   Gold Coast – catch this one at Bill’s(ex Barbary Coast) – It’s only about 1 mile from the GC to Bill’s, the shuttle runs continuously. So the wait is usually very short.

   You could take the suggestion made by "Zippy" except it’s the #202 W Flamingo not the #203(Spring Mountain Rd) and even if you wanted to go this way, you would have to walk past the free shuttles at both CP(Forum Shops) and Bill’s to get to the CAT bus, then pay for the privilege.

   There is a movie theatre by the MGM Grand, others are the Orleans and South Point, not within walking distance and not on The Strip
