NO, circus circus is all for kids upstairs. all casinos are gearing away from kids and familys now. prim casinos have roller coasters for them

Hi I’m a cabbie here in Vegas and the answer to your question is as follows. Treasure Island is a missleading name that make you think that its sutable for children but alas that is not the case. They themselves got pinched by the name and are now trying to stear away from it by populatising their name abreaviated ( TI ) Instead of tresure Island. Also they have changed their pirate show to a more adult sexy version with a lot of female dancers.
With that said here are the top cabbie rated places for kids.
1) Circus Circus- they have adventure dome for kids and their entire second floor is daticated to kids. It has a huge arcade and carnival where kids can win prizes. They also have free Circus acts hour on the hour.
2) Excalibur- they have a basement deticated to kids with a carninval type atmosphere considerably smaller that that of Circus Circus and not free circus acts. They do how ever have a jousting and dinner show at a reasonable price of about $40 dollars per adult.
3) Palms and Orleans are tied for 3rd place if your kids are very yound or you just want them occupied under adult supervision. Both of these casino\hotels have small arcades and a place called Kids Quest. Kids Quest is a babysitting service with a Chukey Cheeses type enviorment. Their prices are resonable about $8 dollars an hour per kid plus a little extra if you will want them to feed your kids. Don’t forget to bring your kid Immunization records they will be require on the second visit to Kids Ques The drawbacks for Kids Quest are. You can only leave your kids there for 3 1/2 hours per day (Nevada Law). If your child is not potty trained they will page you when he\she poops and a make you pick them up again (Nevada law). Finally Las Vegas has great babysitting services that come to your hotel for about $15 dollars an hour.

This is my opinion, for what it is worth. I absolutely can’t understand why anyone would take young children to Las Vegas. And to be fair, I think the city has topped pretending, like it it did 10 years ago, that it is at all suitable as a family destination. The Treasure Island, like every other hotel on the strip, is an adult playground, pure and simple. There are only three reasons to go to Las Vegas – for gambling, for sex or for the shows. And make no mistake, there really is a great deal of sex – it’s impossible to avoid flyers/ads for pole dancing/escorts/clubs/brothels. I found the place incredibly depressing, and I think most kids, after 5 minutes, would find it incredibly boring.

NO there is not one thing except to eat for anyone under the age of 21 except to go to Mystere, the family oriented Cirque show.

Vegas is an adult playland with a few things for adolescents, but nothing for little ones except to eat, sleep, watch TV in the room, and maybe play in the pool with their parents watching.

If you want to take your kids I would suggest one of the "local" casinos not on The Strip like South Point, Gold Coast, and Orleans, which all have either bowling and/or movies plus a nice pool.

I honeslty dont know if I would considered anywhere in Vegas "suitable" for children. Everywhere you look you see people drinking, gambling, smoking, swearing, or engaging in other adult "activities". Afterall, thats what Vegas is all about. But as far as Vegas standards, Treasure is one of the tamer hotels for sure. And as long as you are not completly uptight you will probably feel somewhat ok with your kids around.

There used to be time when Treasure Island was attractive to families because of the pirate theme but that changed a few years ago.

Changed the sign on The Strip to read TI, Tangerine nightclub and changing the pirate battle out front to the Sirens of TI show was done in an effort to attract a ‘hipper’ adult crowd.

There are more family friendly places in Vegas, although I don’t consider the town a good family destination…….

I wouldn’t think that Treasure Island would be suitable because when I looked up their rooms on their website, they only offered rooms with a single bed, no doubles. The best place to stay with kids is definitely Excalibur, they have a basement devoted to children. It is full of carnival games that are affordable and easy to win. It is also in a great location and is extremely affordable. We pay $51/night. Circus Circus is a good hotel to visit for the adventuredome, but from what I hear, it’s not a great place to stay.

We just returned from a trip to Vegas with 3 kids, ages 2, 6, and 12, and we had an absolute blast! There was so much to do, and all of what we did was kid-friendly. Half of the activities in Vegas are there for kids, so obviously the city of Las Vegas accepts children, too. Here is a list of what we included in our itinerary

We never rent a car- public transportation in Vegas is too easy and affordable to pass up. You can take the bus up and down the strip ($2 each way or $5 all day). The monorail is very handy to get to the Las Vegas Hilton for Star Trek ($5 each way, $9 for 2-way, $15 all day I think)

I stayed at TI last year and will be going again next week. No, it isn’t for children, there is nothing for them to do.

Vegas is not for kids, please do not take them. I went when I was 16 and there was nothing for me to do except sit by the pool. The floor managers will make you move if you have kids of the gambling floor and you cannot avoid it.

I agree that Vegas is for people to get away from kids. With all the public drinking and gambling it is inappropriate to have them there.

I just returned from Vegas and TI, like all the hotels on the strip are beautiful and large. Coming and goings is like a large hotel with lots to do. FOR ADULT…

My opinion:

I don’t like seeing children there because lots of people are there to get away from their children TO spend adult time.

on occasion *as in big cities* You will see public drunkenness (generally after dark or early in the morning)..

Women walking around with very low cut tops.

Taking children to LV will also tell your kids that it’s ok to spend lots of money on silly machines and not on them.

Take your kids to Disneyland. They will thank you.

Then take your honey to LV and leave the kids at home.

Depends on what age they are. The Circus Circus hotel might be a better choice as they have more for children to do there. Part of the hotel is like a fairground and when I was there, lots of parents with young children were staying there too!
