Which Las Vegas hotel should I book? Bill’s, Flamingo, Monte Carlo?
April 11th, 2010
Travel party includes~ Me & Hubby, Mother in law, 2 children
Ages~ 28, 32, 62, 8, 6
Dates~ April 2-6
Prices~ Bill’s $247 Flamingo $351 Monte Carlo $362
My Needs~ Good pool, cheap eats, less walking as possible, somewhere that will somewhat impress my mother in law
We have a car and besides having cheap food, a clean room and a good pool we don’t really care what else the hotel has to offer. because we won’t use anything else.
I know Monte Carlo has construction beside it, but can you see it from the pool?
I’ve narrowed it down to these hotels so please give me your opinions on which on is best suited for our needs and why.
Thanks!!!
I called Bill’s reservation line and they confirmed that their guest have access to the Flamingo pool.
i am staying at Flamingos in march… after a HELL of alot of research ffound them to be the best for what we’repaying…. i know its now Wynns but not a dump either, and its centre strip with the monorail stp outside. We got a good deal of vegastogo.com pay for 3 nights get the 4th free, you should look into that.

Bill’s does not have a pool, very small casino and no cheap food; formerly Barbary Coast
Flamingo has nice pool
Monte Carlo is next to the construction of City Center
But none have activities for kids. I would recommend you look at Circus Circus Manor where there is a pool and Adventure Dome Amusement Park (indoor) for all ages

Monte Carlo is not bad, but not really for kids. Try the Excalibur, hey it has a Mcy D’s. That one is usually fair on price. Circus Circus too, but that will drive you insane! Seriously.. good luck

Well for what you are looking for you want to stay at the Flamingo for sure. Monte Carlo is the nicest of the three and Bill’s if very very simple and you can walk through it in a minute if you really wanted to. The Flamingo pool still ranks up there as one of the best on the strip. I think their drinks are a bit weak but great pool atmosphere for all ages. If you stay at Bill’s it’s pretty lame but sometimes lame is good because you don’t get all the show off fake people in there who like to act like high rollers in Vegas but then go home and work the service counter at Wal-Mart, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Do you really want to leave your hotel though to get to the pool. Not really, I say. Not that it’s a long walk or anything but who wants to track through another casino to go to the pool. I think you all would be very happy with the Flamingo plus it is still the best corner of the strip. You have Caeser’s right across the street, you have Bellaggio right across the street and you are right in the heart of the strip. Since you have a car, take a drive out to Monte Lago bay out on lake Las Vegas, it’s a nice little drive and my wife and I have made that a tradition to got out there for breakfast each time we visit Vegas. It’s just a very nice quiet place to go and they have a pretty good deal if you want to have dinner on the boat. Drive out to Primm and take in the coaster because you kids will probably like it out there, they may chicken out on the coaster but there are a few more rides out there. Don’t forget the damn dam as well. Have a great time!

I just came back from the Flamingo yesterday and every time I go to Vegas I stay there and love it!! The location is great because it is in the middle of the strip, the pool is wonderful and they have a slide as well, there are flamingos and penguins outside for the kids to look at, and the rooms are simple, but clean. I say FLAMINGO! for sure! You won’t regret and have a wonderful time!

First off I am jealous! Would love to be heading back to Vegas! I’ve never stayed at the Flamingo or Bills so can’t really give you much on those hotels. However I have stayed at Monty Carlo and I have to admit is not one that caters much to children. I’ve done a bit of research recently on child friendly activities and hotel as I was planning a trip in the spring. My choices were either the Stratophere, it has impressive rides at the top of the spire and a 50′s style diner with singing staff impersonators. Very entertaining. The other is Circus Circus, simply for the circus vibe and there are plenty of options for children’s entertainment. Both these hotels are on the strip.
I’ve booked through this website twice before, they’ve got decent discounts and a wide selection of Las Vegas hotels.

About Bills.. I stayed at bills about 7 months ago on my 21st birthday… and I hated it. The rooms were not that clean, the bathrooms will make you go crazy they are so little, and I was scared to touch ANYTHING in the bathroom… The only perk to Bill’s was the big flatscreen TV… the bed wasn’t that comfortable and the view wasn’t great, unless you can get it facing the bellagio… Even then… I still wouldn’t stay at Bills.. Cheap, but so not worth it.
