What would be a great theme for a new Hotel / Casino in Las Vegas?

Since Las Vegas already has Ceasar’s Palace (Rome), Venetian (Venice), Paris (France), Monte Carlo (Monaco), New York New York etc…

I think they should build a Tokyo inspired casino with a mall that looks like downtown Tokyo with all of those neon lights and stuff.

Another great theme would be a St. Petersburg (Russia) casino. That would just be crazy!!!

What about you guys? What would be a great theme for a new casino in Las Vegas?

Ever since the first time I went to Vegas, I have always thought they should have an "Atlantis" themed hotel, like the Lost City of Atlantis. It would be a dark blue and gray with green moss/seaweed all over it to show that it has been underwater.

It’s funny you should ask that question since the same one has gone through my mind. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they are building themed hotels anymore. All of the new construction going up looks like condos and timeshares and they are taking up a lot of space.

But I think it is fun to think about differently themed hotels and picture what they would look like on the outside and the inside, and what attractions they would incorporate to go along with the theme.

Great Question!

All the casinos under construction do not have "themes". There is an emphasis on the new developments on having people who more or less live there. Condo-hotels are a big part of the new plans. The thinking is that people don’t want to spend a fortune to live in a theme park.

The London Resort and Casino was an announced project by the Voyager company featuring replicas of the city’s landmarks. No construction ever took place. Sorry that someone already had the idea,

First Choice if I was on a committe to choose a themed hotel/casino:

#1 Cat Themed. Nothing but CATS!

#2 Military stuff. Tanks, Guns, etc.

#3 Computer related Microsoft stuff. Always a big Expo each year for Electronics.

#4. Old West. 1800′s before automobiles.

The million dollar question is people are into the mega casinos now like the Echelon and City Center, multi-plexes, being built, rather than a single named casino

I think somthing with a Mexican flavor on the strip, a la Cabo, Cancun, Guadalajara, or Acapulco. Something very nice and upscale. Good question!

I love both the Atlantis theme and the Mexican theme. I actually thought of that too. Both would be great. I also think a Japanese or Oriental theme would be cool if done right. Imperial palace just doesn’t seem to cut it.

I think an "oh Canada" theme would be pretty cool. What about a mini replica of toronto?
