The Monte Carlo is becoming a forgotten hotel, you hardly notice it compared to the others on the strip.
Thats all I can say, Ive never stayed there

It’s a good place to stay. They had a bit of a fire there a couple of years back. I don’t think there are really any less than ideal hotels anywhere along the strip. They are either top notch or they get bought out by some syndicate and get imploded. Monte Carlo is fine.

I rate the Monte Carlo very highly I’ve stayed there twice and both times have had a great time.

A hidden gem. It is a very nice place to stay. More laid back than most resorts on the strip. A great place to relax and a great location.

great place and they have been sending me e mails on a $39 rate. You may want to get on the e mail list if you visit this location often.
It is a wonderful place and the food is good. Very nice resort.

I hope you take this in the spirit it is intended. The Monte Carlo is the best of the value hotels in Vegas. There are basically three levels of hotel on the Strip in Vegas. The top shelf places, the middle of the road places and the value places. The top shelf places are like the Bellagio or Wynn which are swanky and very expensive. The middle of the road places are like Paris or Mandalay Bay. The value hotels are the ones that are the lowest price but still good hotels. This does not include flea bag hotels.
With this rule in mind, the Monte Carlo is the best of the value hotels. It has nice rooms and a nice casino. It is pretty fancy and clean. Now, if you have never been to Vegas you need to know that any of the value hotels is much better than any standard hotel you may have stayed at in other cities. These value hotels in Vegas would be considered top shelf in most other cities.
The Monte Carlo is well situated, has convenient parking, easy access to the Strip and the casino tends to be less smokey. It has a very nice pool area with a lazy river and even a wave pool. They have an average buffet and some nice ritzy restaurants as well as some food court choices as well.
I like it.
