Best time to reserve a Las Vegas hotel room?
April 28th, 2010
I’m looking to reserve a quick one-night stay at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Nothing too fancy, just something in the Luxor / Monte Carlo, etc. range for under $100/night on a weekday. I’m looking to travel in about two weeks, when are the rates cheapest?
On sites such as Hotwire and Priceline, do the prices usually go down even more as the date approaches or are they about as low as they go right now?
Thanks for your help!

The sooner the better but check the day you are supposed to arrive as well just in case.

This would be a good time to book while the prices are low. Not really going to get any cheaper.

I will grab the lowest price you can find. For a week day checking, you can get a great deal if you book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes. Here are a few codes.

Mid week is the cheapest nights. You can book a room direct from the Luxor for ~$55/night.

I assume by the "best time" you mean the cheapest way. The cheapest way is to use promo codes for specific hotels. If you book way in advance you can still keep checking for a better deal and change your mind. Just make sure any promo code allows you to cancel without penalty. Most do but sometimes, some especially cheap rates do not allow you to cancel them. So read the deal before you make it.

I am going to give you the only piece of advice that was given to me for finding cheap travel deals, and it works to this day… Compare as many travel websites as you can as often as you can. Since you have a few months, start searching today and search the flights or hotels or whatever you need every week until the month before you are going. If anything is unusually cheaper, book it on that date. I would definitely recommend checking out the website BookMe. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites from one location, and save tons of money. Good luck and check out the link below, and you will be all set.
