If marrying in a Church, as opposed to a chapel in Las Vegas is important to you, there may be other issues about spirituality, if You believe in the same things, how you will raise your children. These issues can be a wedge in the marriage if the two of you do not come to a real agreement and not just one of you giving in to the wishes of the other. You will certainly still be married in the Eyes of God and everything may be fine, but if having your wedding preformed by a Priest/Pastor, and blessed before an alter of God is important to you, than you and he must talk. If he is running over you now, it will only get worse.
