Where can I get a cheapest package deal to Las Vegas..?
November 7th, 2009
From Vancouver, BC to Las Vegas. Where can I find a best Hotel/Air deal.
What would be the most economical way to travel to Las Vegas by air. Fly there first and find a hotel or get a package with hotel/air?
You should never just come and expect to get a room. You will more than likely pay a premium price for the room. Coming from Canada I would check with a local travel agent before doing anything. They may have a tour group coming and since they rent the plane you will pay much less than if you book directly with the airlines.
Also go to this site and in the middle of the page you will find a search for vacations. Click on the middle tab for Hotel + air + save and then enter your information. I found some great deals on there.

Get your air with WestJet (daily flights from/to YVR), look for hotel deals on Expedia, Hotels.com, Hotwire.com, etc. I stayed at the MGM Grand in July for $70, but I could have stayed in decent hotels off the strip for $20.

The best way to get a great deal is to book them separately. For flights, check sites like Alaska airlines or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare.

For hotels, book directly from the hotels using their discount promo codes to get the maximum discounts. Here are a few codes.

You need the total package or you could find yourself with only a very expensive room.
Check http://www.lasvegasnow.com which is local TV8 web site with links. Check airlines like Southwest, MidWest, Alaska, etc.

In my experience the best is to book air and hotel seperately in order to get the best price. For air I recommend kayak.com and for hotel rooms book directly with your desired hotel for the best price. In addition you can use a promotion code from http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com in order to lower the price.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Probably the cheapest way to go is book separately and not through a package. Las Vegas has some pretty good deals if you book direct with the hotels so you can save more from my experience. Here’s a list of all the current discount codes and specials: http://www.smartervegas.com
