Has anyone stayed at the Excalibur in Las Vegas?

I’m going to LV for a wedding soon and most people are staying at the Excalibur, so I wanted to follow suit for convenience.

If anyone has stayed there before, please let me know what your experience was, thanks!

Excalibur is my favorite! It is one of the budget hotels on the strip, without the budget feel. Their standard rooms aren’t much to speak of, but we stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms last time and I thought they were beautiful. The colors and furniture just made you so comfy. The bathroom counters and mirrors were great, too. The newly renovated rooms also include a 42" flat screen tv and an in-room safe.

They have a few restaurants, their buffet isn’t the best in Vegas, but the breakfast is decent. They also have a Dick’s Last Resort, a steakhouse, an italian place, and the 24 hour Sherwood Forest Cafe, the best place to get coffee and pancakes anytime of day. Their food court upstairs includes McDonalds, Quiznos, Pizza Hut, Krispy Creme, and an ice cream place.

Their casino is huge and is not as much like a maze as other casinos. It’s all laid out on one floor without any bars or clubs in the middle that you have to navigate around. All of the bars are located on the outside of the casino. Needless to say, it’s much easier to find your way around.

Downstairs they have a need Midway with carnival games such as throwing darts at balloons, and knocking down things for prizes. Each game is quite affordable and you could end up with a ton of souvenirs if you allowed yourself to continue playing.

We always stay in Excalibur because of their great rates and great location. They are located on the most popular intersection with MGM Grand, NY NY, and Tropicana. Excalibur is connected to Luxor and Mandalay Bay by either walkway/mall, or free tram. It’s also only a $10-$12 cab ride from the airport.

They always have great rates and promotions going on. We have almost never paid more than $51/night, and we got a free upgrade to the New room on a promotion for the same rate. Here are there specials right now http://smartervegas.com/hotels/excalibur/promotionalcodes.aspx

1). Third Night FREE! From: $41/night
You could possibly stay 3 nights for only $82 + tax

2). $1 Thursdays- From: $1/night

Non-refundable, must book 30 days in advance

4). Stay & Play Special Offer- From: $41/night

Have Fun! There’s no point spending $100+ a night for a hotel room you will barely see, when you can pay $50 or less a night to stay in a castle! LOL!

I have stayed in the Excalibur one time about 2 yrs ago. It was a decent hotel. The rooms are clean but there are no in room safes. There are a few restaurants in it but we only ate breakfast at the buffet. It is in a good location on the strip. I really like that corner with MGM Grand, Tropicana, and New York New York. I would say that excalibur is an average hotel in a good location.

Eee, the Excalibur. That was mine and my best friend’s fav hotel when we were kids living in Vegas. We loved the reality ride, the Magician in the castle, and the downstairs arcade.

But I was there recently and it seemed pretty cheesy. If I could say somewhere else, I’d stay at the Palms, or the Mirage for sure. I like trendy hotels. Actually, I like minimalist hotels, but those are very rare in Vegas.

Honestly, I’d stay away from the older hotels. Cheesy.

I stayed awhile ago no complaints here. location was decent. Go to trip advisor and read the reviews there My friends just came back from MGM and they had complaints Ive stayed there too and thought it was great my favorite though is Ballys only because of price and location. If I could I would stay at Bellagio for sure. I usually use this website under vacation packages US and book air and hotel together we have gotten some pretty cheap packages redhotescapes.com have fun and no matter where you stay Im sure you will have a great time. Excalibur is not gross or growing mold or have bugs.

Excalibur is a nice hotel with a good location (in the area of NYNY, Luxor and MGM). The have nice widescreen rooms with flatscreen tvs. Before you book try to get a good hotel promotion offer in order to save some money. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for the latest Las Vegas hotel promotion offers.

Excalilbur is good basic hotel, it has big clean rooms though they can be a little dark and they have showers only not tubs. It is well worth paying the extra for a view room otherwise your room will juts face across at another tower. The new rooms are called widescreen rooms and have been remodled and are very nice, the buffet is cheap with long lines the breakfast is ok the rest should be avoided, the sherwood forst cafe is very nice. Excalibur is a baragain and you can get a room form $31 per night it is not a bad choice.
