What is the best steak restaurant in Las Vegas near Tropicana.?

1. Charlie Palmer Steakhouse at the Four Seasons
It’s what it would be like in a Utopian society. Award winning wine list and beef that is so flavorful that you could have it for dessert. Yes, it is expensive but this is one of the very few times it’s worth the money.
2. Delmonico at the Venetian Hotel
Emeril doing beef is enough for me to show up but once again an impressive wine list makes this a great choice for a steak dinner. This is a very comfortable place and you might end up opening two bottles with your beef.
3. Bally’s Steakhouse
This place is so not Las Vegas but you cannot argue with the meals. Personally, the prime rib is very close to the best in the city so don’t miss it. I rarely order wine here as it has more of a bourbon feel to it.
4. Gallaghers at New York/New York Hotel
You do not know what a Rib-eye can taste like until you have had one at Gallagher’s. With the best service and the fabulous food this is a can’t miss choice for a steak in Las Vegas
5. N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms
This is a steakhouse for the people who do not order Manhattan’s or scour through a wine list for that perfect bottle to pair with a great steak. This is for the new generation of steak lover that gets right down to business but needs a modern place to do it at.

is the tropicana las vegas that bad?

No, it’s definitely not "bad".

It’s not shiny and new like the Wynn, and you won’t find Picasso or Monet in the hallway, but the rooms are nice, the price is usually pretty good, and it’s an easy hop to the other, newer and more glamorous places like the MGM and Luxor. You can also get around pretty easy using the rail if you want to get further down the Strip.

I dunno about you, but when I go to Vegas, I seldom spend all my time in the casino where I’ve booked my stay. I get out and hit several places, either just for the fun of cruising or to see specific shows.

How far is Grand Canyon if I drive from Las Vegas Strip (Tropicana Hotel Resort)?

Is it s tiring drive? is it better to take a bus tour or helicopter/plane?

We rented a car for the day and drove there. It was about 4 or 5 hrs each way. The drive is quite tiring but it was nice to say that Ive been there. I wouldnt say that I would do it again though. I would never recommend a bus tour because they take forever and a day. I have never done a helicopter tour but I would imagine it would be nice but very pricey

When are they going to tear down the Tropicana Hotel Resort in Las Vegas?

October 3rd, 2009

They said they were going to do some major remodeling but when?

The plan was only to tear down the original hotel blocks (which are very small) and build new towers.
—————
There was also plans announced to tear down Imperial Palace and O’Sheas and to extensively remodel the Flamingo. Also the Sahara was going to add new towers. However, if you haven’t noticed there are over 20,000 very expensive rooms in construction that are scheduled to open in the next year and a half. The current rooms are only being filled by offering them at fire sale prices. Even then people are still gambling much less and spending very little.
—————
Renovation projects of old casinos are limited to very small projects at this time. I think they are sorry they blew up the Frontier and the Stardust. Now those projects are empty fields with billion dollar mortgages (at best). At worst they are half finished buildings where they have suspended all construction.

i was wondering how you would rate tropicana hotel and what are
your views on other economy hotels on the strip? what economy
hotels on the strip would you reccomend? also your views on
imperial palace? thank you y/a people.

The Tropicana is old and run down. Take a look at the Sahara on the other end of the strip. Its also an older property, but the rooms are reasonable and better.

The Tropicana Hotel and Casino was one of the first of a new breed of casinos. Although it pales in comparison to the mega-resorts it’s still a popular destination. This video is shot from The Strip and Tropicana Avenue, one of the busiest intyersections in Las Vegas.

Is there a car rental place inside the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, NV?

September 28th, 2009

Posted by admin in Tropicana Las Vegas | 2 Comments »

Going there this weekend, would like to rent a car one day,. I know some hotels on the strip have locations, but not sure if Tropicana does. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is no car rental place inside the Tropicana but you can make a reservation and have a car dropped off for you at the hotel from McCarran Rent-A-Car Center. Here is Vegas car rental info.
