Would you choose the Mirage, Treasure Island, or the Monte Carlo to stay at in Las Vegas?

All within a few dollars of each other, we are going to a show at Ceasars. The Mirage is the closest, but which has the best for food, gambling, service, rooms, night life, etc?

The mitrage nicest rooms great staff brilliant buffet and I have never known it to be really crowded certainly not as crowded as say MGM, Ceasers or Bellagio http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/05/05/mirage-las-vegas-luxury-hotel-with-bargain-prices/

Has anyone stayed at the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas lately? (after the fire)?

I’m staying at the Monte Carlo in early May; I booked my hotel a while back, since I heard there was a small fire. I’m wondering if anyone has stayed there after the fire, and if so was there any construction going on? Overall what was your opinion of the Hotel?

to echo what the other person said below me. check out www.yelp.com – it’s "Real reviews by real people" so just check out the recent reviews and see if anything was written about smokey smells and what not..it doesn’t appear so..so I think you should be good.

Where is a good discount liquor store between the Las Vegas Airport and the Monte Carlo?

November 16th, 2009

We will be in a Cab so i do not want to go too far off the beaten path but am willing to go a little ways out just because the last time we went the liquor store near the strip they wanted $75 for a bottle of Grey Goose that i only pay $30 for here at home. Do groceries stores sell hard liquor?

The best prices in town are at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.
This is on Flamingo about 2 miles or less west of the Bellagio Hotel.
Very well-known for it’s great prices.

which las vegas holel is better monte carlo or golden nugget?

November 13th, 2009

I am going in a week and we have reservations at both. Going with my wife and her family.

It really depends on what you are looking for! The Golden Nugget just got a sweet remodel, and is looking hot for an old lady on the stip! http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/Golden-Nugget-Las-Vegas/ it is classic old Vegas, but because Downtown is full of nostalgic older guests you do get a more mature crowd.

Monte Carlo is great, and a lot of fun and has a much younger crowd http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/Monte-Carlo-Hotel-and-Casino/ but it lacks that Old Vegas charm.

Anyways I hope you have a lot of fun!
