Going on a holiday to Las Vegas and have been looking at places to stay. I’ve seen the website for this place and it looks quite nice and looking for other people’s experiences there.

What was good about the place? And bad? Any info will be helpful

Well, the Meridian at Hughes Center are condos, not a hotel:

If you’re a US citizen, you’ll have no problem. (Assuming you’re not on parole or something that prevents you from crossing state boundaries.)

If you’re coming from outside the US, I don’t know. Sometimes countries will prevent ex-criminals from entering the country. You may want to contact the US Embassy in your country and ask them.

Once you are in the US, you are free to visit any state or city you want.

In a 2 week holiday to the USA, what is a good length of time to spend in Las Vegas?

I just want to get a feel for the place, ie: see a few casinos, a show or two and experience the night life.

Three or four night would be enough to get the feel. You have to realize that you can only do one show a night especially at the cost of a ticket.

For the club scene check out this page and they will tell you how to get VIP access for free into the club of your choice.

Need holiday help! Las Vegas with kids yes or no??

My husband an i are thinking of going to las vegas next year with our son who will be 7yr . Im not interested in the casinos but my husband will be! Im just wondering what its like for children. I know that they have rides and stuff and that the hotels are mad, what i want to know is will there be enough to do that will keep my son happy? And i know that there are working girls on the strip so im worried that it might be a little seedy for a young child. If you have been or have been with kids can you let me know what you think.
I have already been to florida a few times and love it but would like to try something new.

The strip is not seedy at all, it’s only the back roads. When I went last October there were quite a lot of people with their children there.
There is plenty for him to do. Each of the hotels has a theme and he may enjoy looking at them – one hotel has an aquarium and there is stuff to do in the others.
You can take a trip to the Hoover Dam and also go to the Grand Canyon – he may really enjoy a helicopter ride.
A lot of the rides there are not really suitable for a 7 year old to be honest – the only 3 I can think of are New York New York rollercoaster which i don’t think he’d be big enough to get on and the 2 up the Stratosphere – height again and even I wouldn’t go on them!!

There is a site here which suggests things to do with kids and there seems to be a lot more to do than I have mentioned!

I see someone has recommended Circus Circus as a place to stay. No offence to her but I went there to see it and it is a complete dump. It’s off the Main Strip and is a good 20 minute, easily half hour walk with a little one, to the main strip. It’s filthy dirty, my feet stuck to the carpet and there was rubbish everywhere, and was completely full of screaming unruly kids. There is no way on God’s earth I would ever take my children there. Yes it had a million Grab machines and a circus ring (the acts were rubbish) but I couldn’t get out of there fast enough! Only my opinion though, I’m sure a lot of people like it!!!

me and my friends are going t las vegas in april we are from england what would recomend is the best places to visit there

Hi well it depends on your taste and what you like doing, all the hotels are themed and worth a look,of course it goes without saying the casinos, shows are good, the fountains at belagio hotel dance to music, the view from the top of the stratosphere hotel, just walking up and down the strip, theres a pirate battle show outside treasure island each evening.

A trip to the grand canyon is a must, lake mead is quite interesting, Celion Dion is at Ceasers Palace hotel, Blue man group are pretty cool, there are various magic shows, roller coaster ride outside and round New York hotel, revolving restaurant at paris hotel..very nice but pricey!
Hope this has helped!

do all men cheat when on holiday in las vegas without their girlfriend?

Yeah. Different levels, of course. I was at a convention in Vegas and pretty much saw hookers leaving every room on my floor. Some guys just do basic strip clubs, massage joints and such, though, which may offer some relief. There are hookers everywhere. Maybe a first-timer may not be able to tell the difference between the hookers and non-hookers, but after going to Vegas a couple of times they are very easy to spot.

Looking for a good Thanksgiving dinner in Las Vegas?

I live in California and my husband and I are going to spend this Thanksgiving holiday in Las Vegas. I’m looking for a restaurant or buffet we can enjoy a tasty Thanksgiving meal. The traditional turkey, mash potatoes, gravy. Nothing pricey or fancy just tasty. Anyone had a yummy Thanksgiving meal in Las Vegas?

Most of the casinos have a turkey buffet on Thanksgiving. Tasty and not too badly priced. Higher end casinos are of course, more expensive. There are a lot of mom and pop type restaurants there, too. I can ask my daughter who lives there.

No way…I have just done 11 nights and I am no youngster. The longer your stay, the easier for your itinerary. You can pace yourself well. There really is masses to see and do in Vegas, there are a lot of great shows and trips and things. When you feel tiered, you can just stay at the hotel pool or play the slots. Have a great trip.
