Hotel question at Imperial Palace in Las Vegas?

October 3rd, 2009

When you arrive(check in) and pay with a debit/creditcard visa, do they put at freeze into your account? Im staying their four nights at the imperial palace.

If that is the case, so then I should just have enough for the hotel reservation on the debit/credit card and then carry everything else in cash or in a different debit card?

With a debt card they almost always do.

With a credit card, it varies from place to place. Ussualy they have the ability to authroize the card without putting a "hold" on any funds.

No. The imperial palace is a nice place. It is inexpensive but not ghetto.

Going to visit Imperial Palace in Las Vegas?

October 1st, 2009

I am going to visit the Imperial Palace in a few weeks. I know it’s a very basic casion/hotel. Any tips on how to get good deals/comp’s in that casino, or in the surrounding areas ?
Also anyone know of good deals in Downtown Vegas ?

Good deals abound in Vegas right now. They were just talking about on the news this morning. Profits were down 10% last month so the hotels are offering great deals on room. You should browse the internet to find the best deals, they said.

Imperial Palace may have a players card. I know the Flamingo next door does. Just get the casino players cards and rack up points for comps. When I got my card from Caesar’s Palace years ago they gave me $50 to start gambling with. But that was years ago. I don’t know about now.

All casinos comp high rollers. And if you’re asking about deals and comps, I’m pretty sure you aren’t a high roller, so just take advantage of the cheap meal deals like $7.99 prime rib and $11.99 steak and lobster meals.

Downtown has the best rates right now. Be sure to get a players card at the Golden Gate, then go have a 99 cent shrimp cocktail. They are world famous and there is no lettuce at the bottom of the cup. Very yummy.

Have fun.

Imperial Palace Las Vegas Tower Room?

September 28th, 2009

anyone stayed in a "Tower" or basic room at Imperial Palace Las Vegas?
is there a coffee-maker in the room?

I stayed there. It is an awesome location for the rate. Love the Dealertainers. Also stayed at Planet Hollywood, and I take the Palace hands down. No unnecessary snootiness or expenses but still fun.
No coffee maker that I can remember. But if you say that someone needs to store medicine you can get a mini fridge for free.
