I am wanting to take a pic with this sign – how far is the walk from Ballys or is it better to get a taxi to take me there or is it dangerous to get a pic snapped right there??

Its a fair walk from Ballys further than you would think, and futher than it looks particually if its hot. I would take a cab or better still a rental car. Its safe and you can park there we had our pictures taken there right after our wedding and all the cars driving past were tooting their horns really nice

concierge – using one for the first time in las vegas… nervous?

anyone have any bad experiences with these?? im staying at ballys?
I thought this is the person who you leave your bags with if you arrive early…
What I am referring to is that I am getting to Vegas super early – who do I leave my bags with so I dont have to tote them all around with me??

When you pull up to your hotel rather its by rental car or taxi or shuttle, you should be greeted, they will ask you if you need help with your bags, since its early and you aren’t sure if you will get a room right away, let them take your bags, they will give you a claim ticket, which should have a number you can call when you get to your room to have your bags delivered. If you have a laptop sometimes they won’t take it just so you know. Take your claim ticket, go and check in, when your room is ready and you are in it, use the number you were given call the bellhop they will bring up your luggage to your room. Remeber to tip, a dollar a bag is common. Don’t worry if you arrive at 9am and don’t get a room till 3pm your bags will be in storage. As far as trust, I never had a problem, its kinda like leaving your luggage at the airport when you check in. If you are worried bring a lock and lock up your luggage before leaving it with the bellhop, valet or whatever they want to be called. The hotel isn’t like the airport and don’t search or x-ray it. Most hotel employees are pretty honest, and are hard working, however you willl find the bad apples. I don’t leave cash or other valuables in my luggage at the airport and wouldn’t leave at the hotel, if they want my clothes or toiletries, they are stealing from the wrong luggage. That being said I have never had any problems and have talked them into taking my laptop with no problems.

Once you leave your luggage even if you have a long wait for your room, go ahead and enjoy Vegas, you luggage is safe till you get your room.

Best Las Vegas hotel from this list?

November 7th, 2009

So…from this list of hotels in Vegas what would you recommend. We are the type of couple, who would hang at the hotel some(maybe a little more than most). Cleanliness is important. So, which would have the most hotel atmosphere and appeared pretty clean. TIA

Ballys
Impereal palace
Excalibur
Circus circus
Flamingo

Ballys and then Flamingo. Imperial Palace and Circus Circus are at the bottom. Excalibur is right in the middle and yet not bad.

Cheap Eats and Drinks…LAS VEGAS?

November 2nd, 2009

Posted by admin in Ballys Las Vegas | 8 Comments »

I am going to Vegas in a month….I am a college student and a wondering where is some good cheap places to eat…and drink..on the strip or directly off the strip…I am staying at Ballys. Is there any bars where I can get a beer or mixer for under 3-4 bucks…please help

My husband and I got married in Vegas and we were on a very limited budget. We took $500.00 and stayed 5 nights, and had the time of our life. In the AM we would eat at MacDonalds. Bkst Sandwiches only $1.00 ea. and OJ and coffee. Then at lunch we would grab a big hotdog at Circus Circus for 50 cents each. and all sodas and Mixed drinks are free as long as you are playing the slots. Beer is also included. So we would spend a little playing the slots and drink while playing. We tipped the waitress as well, Then we would go out and have a nice supper at Tony Romas and other places. We ate Steak,Prime Rib and anything we wanted very resonable.Go to the websites and check out the restarunts and prices . Then they also have dinner shows. We went to one at Circus where they have Dancers and comedians and singers and a Hawaiian Buffet of all you can eat and drink mixed drinks too for $16.50. They only have the Hawaiian show on Wed and Saturday nites. You have to make reservations because they sell out. It is an awesome show. Fire-eaters,jugglers,everything u can think of…It is a good time for little money, have fun!!!!Spend alot of time sitting by the pool and Hot tubs!

Any Tanning Salons on the Vegas Strip?

October 24th, 2009

Posted by admin in Ballys Las Vegas | 2 Comments »

I am going to Las Vegas in May and I am staying at Ballys. I wanted to tan once or twice while I am here and I was wondering if there are any tanning salons on the strip or close by?

The sun is out 95% of the time in Vegas.

AS the first said, hit a pool. Its not as unhealthy as a tanning bed and looks better anyway.
