Following on from …
Following on from what I said in the previous comment, altogether that’s 2 million in sales leaving the others to be 14 million.
So when taken in account the singles sales as well as the LP sales, this is probably how the others fared:
OFTC: 5 million
IOYP: 3 million
DU: 2 million
RFTS: 2 million
Det: 1 million
81-91: 1 million

I was a bit …
I was a bit concerned, too, about the record sales. When I went onto wikipedia in 2008, it said they sold 30 million worldwide and 18 million in America.
Maybe 16 million counts for not just the albums sold but the singles (when released on vinyl).
I know the EP sold 1 million (when you combine the original ’83 and ’85 re-release sales).
The other greatest hits albums (i.e. with the exception of 81-91) sold half a million (when you put them together) with the self-titled LP going half too.

i think they didn’t …
i think they didn’t sell so much. on wiki it is said about 20 millions worldwide.
16 millions in the usa is also too much:
look:
OUTC: 3 millions +
IOYP: 2 millions +
DU: 1 million +
RFTS: 1 million +
Detonator: 500000+
Best 0f: 500000+
All in all between 8 and 10 millions in the usa.
However DU should be gone at least double platinum, and Detonator at least platinum. their two best records for me.

You must have been …
You must have been right near Warren’s foldback, or on-stage speakers and behind front of house, Which is great cose you can hear Warren very clearly. Great vid.

His melodic, blusey …
His melodic, blusey chops set him apart. That and the fact he shied away from tapping his dick off like near every other guitar player in the 80′s. So much of that stuff sounds dated, not this cat though, Warren’s playing is forever excellent.

warren is the man! …

I just love his style & tone, all the way.

I concur. Warren is …
I concur. Warren is so great that he was the true successor to Brian May’s technical melodicism.

I love all the fast …
I love all the fast guitar players, but when it comes back to wanting to go back in time and wishing I was a guitar player from the 80′s ….Warren all the way, he made all these riffs sound so cool.

Yeah, it went gold …
Yeah, it went gold status at the time unlike the pop metal albums by Warrant and Poison.
The figures may have gone up since then because I read an interview where Bob said Cellar still sells well.
If Ratt’s ’09 LP is a hit then Detonator’s sales could improve like how Metallica’s pre-Black LPs improved in figures.
Ratt have sold roughly 30 million records worldwide (like their idols – Judas Priest) with 16 million being sold in America. I wonder what the exact figures are for each record.

yea i remember …
yea i remember reading an interview with him saying if they had put out detonator by the time dancing undercover came out then the success would phenominal…This was their first record that didnt go platinum right?

I think it’s fair …
I think it’s fair to say Detonator was Warren’s favorite album since he had the most input on it.
He totally shines on this song and it’s a shame that the live performances of the song don’t retain the solos he does towards the end because they fuel the crescendo that’s being built up towards the finale.
I think the Detonator is the ultimate blueprint for playing lead guitar on a rock album. It serves as a “how to” guide as to how to be very technical in a tuneful way – complexity with taste.

idk if this is …
idk if this is warren’s favorite solo but it just seems like ti cause his face you can tell the emotion he’s putting in
