Las Vegas – Total Rewards Free Rooms. Which hotel is the best?
October 21st, 2009
Last time I was in Vegas I stayed at Ballys, and now I am returning since then and I free the comp/promo coupons. I have a choice of 3 free nights at Rio, Ballys, Flamingo, Harrah’s, or Imperial Palace. Or 2 free nights at Paris and the 3rd night being $85. Or Caesar’s which is $107 a night and totally out of the question. My question to you gamblers/travelers out of the free ones, which is the nicest? Or should I do Paris for the $85.
I know for sure I want to go to Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar, but I dont think that is justification enough to automatically pick Harrah’s. My boyfriend has never been to Vegas so he does not care. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Ok, I am not a fan of Harrah’s, but I can tell you my preferences.
Paris is a nice hotel, middle of the strip and pretty new. $85 dollars for a night is a good price. My first choice.
The Rio is a nice hotel, all suites, but off the strip. Plan to drive or take a cab if the strip is where you want to party. My second choice.
Ballys isn’t bad, though a bit older then the first two. It is on the strip as well and connected to the monorail (very long walk to the station though). My third choice.
The rest…Not going to comment, not worth it. Check out their webites for pictures of the rooms and location maps.
Hope this helps and have fun!

Wow a good comp! I would select take the deal at Ballys for three free nights. You can walk easily to so many hotel including Flamingo, Paris, etc.

Personally I would probably pay the extra for Caesars if it works out at under $40 per night its a real bargain, that aside probably Ballys nice hotel and you can walk straight in to Paris and some rooms have very godo views.
tryteh $20 trick here who knows

just return home Wednesday from a 4 day trip to vegas we stayed at bally’s the rooms are clean and the staff are very polite (free room comp too) remember they have a monorail station and it’s only a short walk to las vegas blvd thru the flamingo where all the action is. but i know what you mean you want to stay somewhere different. i stayed at all of them in Atlantic city. but don’t stay at the imperial palace i heard it’s in need of a upgrade

haha, don’t you love your Total Rewards card!
I usually stay at Flamingo when I redeem my free nights. It is central to all the hotels, very close to Harrah’s so a walk to Toby Keith’s will take about 10 minutes.
The hotel is not HUGE, so you aren’t wandering down hallways for 30 minutes looking for your elevator, and they have a nice pool area. Only downside is the buffet is not that great.

Any but the Imperial Palace which is pretty sadly in need of a refurb. Be advised, there is an enormous amount of construction going on in Las Vegas right now. (I just got back Saturday.) Avoid Caesars because there is a lot of construction right near it. Bally’s or the Flamingo are your best bets. If you like pools, the Flamingo is better.
