Who Is Brighton Jewelry?

Brighton is recognized for designing goods with a message. Many of its products’ collection have a defining feature that gives them special meaning. Whether it is love notes engraved in jewelries like pendants, rings and bracelets or a photo incorporated to a handbag. Brighton helps to create lasting memories.

The company was established in 1991 and has started out with just a single belt collection. Through the years, Brighton became an accessory company. In 1993, accessories like handbags were added to their product lines and then came the jewelries, the watches, fragrance line, small leather goods, home accessories, eyewear and the latest for now is luggage.

Brighton features products that coordinate from head-to-toe. Matching accessories of jewelry, lipstick, sunglasses, wallet, handbags and even footwear are just some of Brighton’s merchandise. Virtually creating a complete coordinating collection composed of multiple accessories.

Its philosophy, the “Brighton Difference” says that the difference is in the details. Their house designers draw each creation by hand and then supervise the product’s concept to fruition. Brighton still keeps the traditional process of making things from the Renaissance era. Brighton’s design team goes to travel and seek inspiration for their products and their ornamentation. It is also working with a host of artisans whose main jobs are to capture and bring to life all the detail of the designer’s original sketch.

Brighton leather accessories are mostly made of fine Italian leather. Manufacturing leather accessories can take up to 140 individual manufacturing steps using 40 different parts at the most. “Brightonians” are terms used to denote people collecting Brighton’s leather accessories.

The company’s products are distributed and sold through a network of more than 6,000 specialty stores nationwide most of them are family-owned, and has 100 Brighton Collectible stores across the globe. Brighton hosts seminars for their specialty retailers aimed to inspire, motivate and educate them. Events such as Brighton Week, Brighton Across America and Brighton on the Road are all focused at helping storeowners and their employs to improve marketing and their success.

Brighton has been known for it heart logo. The company’s numerous products like handbags always have a dangling silver heart and jewelries and accessories are adorned with them, too.

Brightoncs marketing strategy, which they call ‘Girlfriend Marketing’, is one of the ingredients of the company’s success. Girlfriend Marketing involves selling in small stores managed by nice people. These are stores wherein they know their customers by name and thus, able to make their customers feel that they are really valued. So, in return, their customer’s later on spread the news about the Brighton product they bought and so on.

Brighton jewelries such as rings are made up of sterling silver. Other jewelry products and silver items are cast in zinc or solid brass and then generously dipped in pure silver. A protective layer of lacquer is added because silver is naturally predisposed to tarnish (due to oxidation) and scratch. Lacquer helps in retarding this natural occurrence. All French wires, posts and lever backs used for Brighton earrings are also sterling silver.

reCareered: Who’s Firing? Layoffs week ended 10-16-09

Who’s Firing is a weekly survey of organizations announcing (or rumoring) layoffs. Not only is this valuable for job seekers, but for business analysts, corporate strategists, marketers, salespeople, investment analysts, financial advisers, and others who are interested in companies that are contracting.

Inclusion on this listing doesn’t mean the entire industry is down, as many from the same sector appeared on the “Who’s Hiring” article published 10/12/09. It is interesting to note that while Federal hiring is on the rise, a number of State and Local governments face continued cutbacks. Also, Verizon has led the top hiring lists, but is also announcing a number of layoffs. Boeing made the layoff list, while competing aerospace manufacturers top the Who’s Hiring lists.

Job seekers: You might want to look in greener pastures than these companies.

Louis Vuitton Canvas Bags Were Among The Most Durable Bags In Our Collections

Further proof that a big name means nothing at the best of times, we present to you the Louis Vuitton Weekender GM . In an attempt to add some flair to the Monogram Pulp canvas, LV splashes it with a coat of yellow (or pink, your choice) to give it an unfinished, half-painted look. They try to tell us that it’s ideal for an “elegant weekend,” but this simply doesn’t equate with elegance at all.

If you have a Louis Vuitton purse then you know that smell. LV Ellipse is a classic, it will never got out of style and is totally worth the investment. It’s solid and fits everything.  And something just fills right when it is being carried snugly in the crook of your elbow. Every girl must have bag that they couldn’t live without.

If you’re the kind of person who like to write letters and read the newspaper then this agenda is for you. An old-fashioned agenda for you to write your appointments in. In style, of course. The classic Louis Vuitton canvas is silk screened with vintage, luggage inspired details that just scream Marc Jacobs! The nostalgic silk screening was actually inspired by vintage LV advertisements. Imagine how chic you will feel, pulling this out of your Louis Vuitton bag and scribbling in a lunch date with your Tiffany & Co. mechanical pen…

The Monogramouflage Lys unites denim canvas with leather trim and bears the iconic monogram print over a camouflaged background. Flashes of contrasting red patent leather, both on the name tag and the engraved nameplate, add a pop of color that somehow gives the bag even greater cachet as the only military-chic piece worth considering. Limited edition and destined to be a favorite of Louis Vuitton and camouflage fanatics alike.

Worlds collide on this new Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas from the Watercolor collection. Jamaica is as chic and city-appropriate as it is artsy and eclectic. Boasting a panel of monogrammed canvas done in a mix of 17 bright shades, it’s trimmed with buttery soft beige leather. A diminutive gold lock is all the hardware this already-detailed purse needs; it works without taking away from the watercolor effect. It’s a bit too trendy for my personal liking, but it’s definitely an interesting look. This adorable Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore Marilyn bag comes at a perfect time – the playful, candy-coated colors and white canvas background are light and fun for the summer and are contrasted nicely by the tan cowhide trim. This update of Murakami’s delicious style features a chain link strap and a prominent gold push-lock closure, as well as stylish gold studs. It’s very girly – just like the original Marilyn – and a wonderful way to soften up your summer look. Therefore, Monogram Multicolor or Monogram Denim is good choice for you.
